Digital Collage

A collaborative three-hour workshop to understand the environmental impacts of digital technologies and AI, question everyday uses and identify practical ways to move toward more responsible digital practices.

Digital Collage explores the environmental impacts of digital equipment, infrastructure and everyday uses. Using cards about impacts and good practices, participants build a shared understanding of the issues and connect familiar activities with the resources they require. The workshop draws on scientific and institutional sources to make complex questions accessible. It also opens discussion about emerging uses, including artificial intelligence, and the choices available to individuals and organizations. Participants consider practical ways to change their habits and equipment decisions. The collaborative format supports informed discussion and identifies pathways toward more responsible digital practices.

Our digital uses may seem immaterial, but do they really come without environmental impact? Between the multiplication of devices, the explosion of data traffic, and the rise of AI, how can we assess the footprint of digital technology and identify the right levers for action? Digital Collage offers a structured and engaging workshop to understand these issues, debate them, and build a shared culture of responsible digital practices.

This workshop is developed by its own association. Ecogames helps organize it, include it in public events, and connect venues with trained facilitators.
Ecogames distributes more than half of registration fees back to the workshops' supporting associations, funding their deployment, evolution, and updates.
