A collaborative workshop to understand the environmental impacts of buildings, connect materials, energy and uses, and explore opportunities to transform construction in relation to people’s needs and living environments.
Construction Collage explores the environmental impacts of buildings and the orders of magnitude associated with materials, energy, uses and planning. It makes these issues concrete and helps participants understand their connections with climate, resources and quality of life. Discussion puts construction choices into perspective alongside the needs of places and the people who live in them. The workshop then opens reflection on possible levers for change. It provides common ground for discussing how to build differently within a sector or an organization, while considering the relationships between the built environment and wider social and ecological questions.
It is especially relevant when a venue or network wants to reach people connected to buildings, planning, or urban development.
- This workshop is developed by its own association. Ecogames helps organize it, include it in public events, and connect venues with trained facilitators.
- Ecogames distributes more than half of registration fees back to the workshops' supporting associations, funding their deployment, evolution, and updates.
